Holy Week in Granada represents the Passion of Jesus Christ with the processions that take place on floats through the streets of the city, accompanied by nazarenes, waitresses, acolytes and penitents.

It was declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest in 2009. Although there were penitential brotherhoods in Granada in the 16th and 17th centuries, it was at the beginning of the 20th century when this tradition was extended and consolidated, although it suffered a profound setback in the 1970s. At present, thirty-two brotherhoods participate, which make up thirty-four Nazarene processions, with carvings of great artistic value and renewed craftsmanship in some of their floats.
